Rolex Daytona

Rolex Daytona features two different model ranges. Under the older model range, only few watches were manufactured and were marketed only to specific niche watch enthusiastic community. The Rolex Daytona watches produced under this series were only seen between 1960s and 1980s. This series became obsolete later on.

The series was discontinued in the late eighties; however, the limited supply in early nineties was a clear signal for the predecessor series. The second series did not only meet the demand of loyal Daytona customer but also marketed itself beyond the niche audience. This led this model to unprecedented success within no time.

Number of different models varying in color and material are available under the Daytona series. You can pick the Rolex Daytona 18k white gold watch or you can go for the same watch in yellow gold. It is really a matter of your choice. Both these watches do not only look exclusive but they sit on the wrist perfectly. They have all the features that make Daytona series so popular.

Alternatively, you can go for Rolex Daytona stainless steel watch, which is in a class of its own. This watch looks great in stainless steel due to the heavy carry look that it produced so efficiently without putting all that weight on the wrist.

Another good option in Rolex Daytona series is Rolex Daytona Two-Tone wrist watch. Again, this watch has all the same features that Daytona series boost off so proudly. Yet another option in the same series is Rolex Daytona 18 K Rose Gold wrist watch. This watch will not only speak about your personality out loud but will easily speak to the people about the class of the watch as well. This 18 K rose gold watch is nothing less than a dream gift.

The Rolex Daytona watches with Paul Newman dial are considered the elitist. Paul Newman wore the same model from 1972 until his death back in 2008. His wife gifted him the watch even before he started taking control of the automobile industry.

When Rolex originally produced these Daytona watches, they did not receive a great deal of appreciation and neither enjoyed true popularity with these watches. However, the watches started becoming popular with the release of its second generation series with superior features and form factor. The price was not as invaluable as it used to be with the original first series of Rolex Daytona watches.
